Everton have finalised a deal with Hamburg youth player Shkodran Mustafi.
Reports from Germany claim that Everton have managed to lure 16-year-old Hamburg defender Shkodran Mustafito to Goodison Park on a three-year deal.
The Bundesliga outfit were unhappy at losing the highly regarded youngster, but the monetary incentive to move for the youngster has proven too enticing.
One particularly dejected member of staff, Jens Todt, head of the youth academy at Hamburg, vented his woes to German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt.
"We really tried to keep Shkodran at our club, but when there is a club from England coming up we are unable and unwilling to compete financially," began the youth coach.
"It's it tough to accept, but it will not destroy us.
"We are just hoping this is not going to happen too often again."
Mustafi himself added that weighing up the options and making the final choice was a tough call.
"This is an important step in my career," he said.
"I was a bit down when making the decision."
